Residential

Chase can move houses of all sizes, (single-family homes or duplexes), sheds or barns – any type of structure.  In addition, we can raise buildings for the construction of additional foundation support through footings, stem walls and driven pilings. Buildings can also be raised to construct basements, provide additional elevation for flood protection, or enable complete reconstruction of foundations harmed by earthquakes or flooding.

Commercial/Industrial

We have worked with some of the largest general contractors in the area to relocate a variety of commercial structures. We have also moved large pieces of manufacturing machinery.

  • Westbrook Library – moved the library
  • Kennebunkport Yacht Club – moved building in order to repair its foundation, then moved the building back into place
  • Nasson College (Springvale, ME) – reinforced
  • Borrealis Bread – moved a 6-ton oven into place (slideshow to right)

Structure Raising

We work with foundation repair contractors to raise buildings for the construction of additional foundation support through footings, stem walls and driven pilings. Buildings are also been raised to construct basements, provide additional elevation for flood protection, or enable complete reconstruction of foundations harmed by earthquakes or flooding. Projects have included structures on hillsides and mountainsides. They have included returning structures to their original levels or to a level several feet higher.

Barn/Timber Restoration

After 100+ years of service and exposure to New England’s weather, many barns are suffering from structural damage brought on by years of sustained neglect. Chase rebuilds floors, supports and its original patina so it will last another 250 years!

Historical

We have a long history of moving historical buildings in York County.  One example was moving 4 of the oldest homes on the coast (3 from Wells, 1 from Saco) into one area of Arundel, creating a historical community.

Rot & Timber Repair

Chase will lift the building, remove the rotten wood and replace floor timbers, and sills (between the house and foundation).

Steel Beam Fabrication

Chase can help you by coating beams to prevent rusting, very important, especially on the coast.
